VIDI lamp Technology works with Texas Instruments DynamicBlack circuits to help achieve a 50,000:1 contrast ratio, presenting a brilliant AL 2500 to counter any ambient light in the room, for the definition of the image beautifully rendered . DynamicBlack uses a "dynamic iris" to control the brightness, which achieves optimal contrast while changing images.

The W6000 has some of the best ratings in a home projector under $5,000 and has a super bright, high contrast picture. It has 2500 lumens compared with other projectors in this price range with 1000 to 1600 lumens. It's a big, heavy formidable lens that delivers an excellent picture in all lighting situations. If you are considering the Panasonic PTAE4000U or Epson 8500UB, this projector is definitely in that class but is far superior in brightness. For a screen size bigger than 120" with any level of outside lighting, this is undoubtedly the best choice overall for the money.

Buying this projector for use in an outdoor home theatre installation I was more than pleased with not only the light output, but also the picture quality pairing with my blu-ray source. I expected a greater loss of definition in exchange for the more lumens, but that wasn't the case. The lens shift feature by itself is well worth the price of the projector! The W6000 won a best in class award at the Projectors Review Award Show in 2010. runner up in Projector. Prices are down significantly from when I purchased the BenQ W6000 so the value is even greater.

Almost Perfect...Sharpness - you can't beat it. Even a $12,000 JVC projector cannot come close to being as sharp as the W6000. It is as sharp as the Optoma's.
Overall Image quality - great looking picture. VERY pleased with it!
Conclusion - I highly recommend this projector. Buy here at Trusted Amazon.com
